On Thursday, 13 July 2023, the UPT Library and Undip Press received a visit from members of the Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum in the Central Java region. The Head of the Central Java region’s Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum, Dr. Wiji Suwarno, expressed his gratitude for the welcome and hoped that FPPTI members could emulate what the Library and Undip Press had achieved in reducing the physical and services provided to users. He hopes that there will be easy access for university users, professional development for librarians, as well as adding insight regarding the outcome of library services.
Deputy Chancellor for Communication and Business at Diponegoro University Prof. Budi Setiyono, S.Sos., M.Pol.Admin., Ph.D. on this occasion, supported the university librarian. Libraries, as a vital component (center of excellence) of literacy, need to be supported by competent, professional librarians who can follow the latest teaching and learning trends and technology. Opportunities like librarians cannot provide to add insight and experience.
